New Facitlty in Sacramento CA
DataSafe services the Sacramento and Central Valley's records storage and information management needs through its facility in Sacramento. Occupied in 2008, this is the newest member to our family of facilities spread throughout Northern California.
This 48,000 square foot Records Center has 46,500 square feet dedicated to secure hard copy records storage with a capacity for 370,000 storage containers. The separate vital records vault has 1,300 square feet of digital media and film capacity with all-steel shelving. The temperature is maintained between 65°F and 69°F and the relative humidity is kept between 30% and 40%.
A proximity-card locking system prevents unauthorized entry into the facility. The security system is monitored by a professional Security Systems provider. The Police Department is less than ten miles away with an estimated arrival time of less than 15 minutes. Non-employee access is by appointment only through one visitor entrance. Visitors must sign in and are assigned a visitor badge for the duration of their stay. The Facility is monitored by CCTV. Active images are retained for 90 days and inactive images retained for one year.
One of three local Fire Stations is less than two miles away with an estimated arrival time of two to three minutes. The facility is equipped with a fire alarm system that automatically dials the Fire Station upon activation. The non-combustible shelving is all steel. Sprinklers are located on the ceiling of the facility every eight feet. All ABC (powder) fire extinguishers are serviced annually. There is a no charged gas line into the facility. A professional Security Systems provider inspects the sprinkler system annually. The fire department performs periodic unscheduled safety inspections.
This facility is located in a 100 year earthquake zone. The all-steel, reinforced shelving is bolted together and to the floor. The single story, corrugated steel construction reduces the risk of damage in the event of an earthquake.
Flood Zone Designation
The facility is in the lowest risk flood zone designation, an X-zone. This 500 year flood plane has less than a 0.2% chance of flooding. The storm drain is inspected and serviced quarterly.
Hours of Operation
8:00am to 5:30pm, staffed from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
Secure Destruction Consoles
At DataSafe, our focus is to provide a secure destruction methodology via receptacles that are secure and cost effective. Our Confidential Destruction Service assures that confidential and sensitive documents are destroyed before the recycling process (it has been found that recycling without prior destruction provides ample opportunity for unauthorized retrieval of confidential and sensitive information). Once destroyed, the material is compacted and mixed with other data, making it virtually unidentifiable. The combination of security containers and confidential destruction provides an unbroken chain of custody prior to the recycling process.
All businesses have occasion to discard confidential media. Every business is entrusted with information that must be kept private. Without the proper safeguards, information could end up in places where it is readily, and legally, available to anybody. The trash is considered by business espionage professionals as the single most available source of competitive and private information from the average business. Any organization that discards private and proprietary data without the benefit of proper destruction exposes itself to the risk, as well as the costly loss of business. At DataSafe, we are here to help you take your confidential media destruction to the next level.
Scan-on-Demand is the ultimate in efficiency for clients who need quick access to their stored hard copy records and/or require image availability in multiple locations. Rather than pulling and delivering a box or file to your location, DataSafe will retrieve the particular file(s), pull the required document(s) and scan them. The image can then be accessed via a secure web connection or e-mailed to the designated authorized end-user. Once the document has been scanned and delivered, your hard copy records are restored to their secure storage location.
